About Catherine (Cath) Gow

I learnt mantra based meditation 14 years ago to help me be grounded, calm and focused. Until then I was rarely present and would rush around - even though I would question why!

I tried so many relaxation techniques yet would default to “the same old” resulting in gut issues and adrenal exhaustion. Without a portal I ended up spending way too much time down too many rabbit holes!

I tried yoga and enjoyed utter peace - yet it was short lived as I would soon revert back to rushing, being distracted and fretting. I tried various types of meditation and struggled with the focused techniques. Concentrative techniques seemed too hard for me.

Finally I tried mantra based meditation which was effortless yet life changing. I was stunned at how such a simple technique could give me profound contentment, improving all areas my life, including relationships with family and friends.

I have benefitted enormously from Sattva Meditation’s integrative, contemporary and holistic approach to initiated mantra based meditation. Sattva students have access to a wide range of ancient Himalayan techniques including breathwork and kriya.

I am a New Zealand born former lawyer, with two grown sons, living in Sydney’s East. We enjoyed living in Asia for several years and were fortunate to travel widely. I get lost in an Atlas, love spending time in nature and around dogs, textiles and colour.

In addition to various meditation studies, I have studied numerous holistic therapies including the basics of kinesiology which I have benefitted from over 18 years.

I am so thankful for all my guides through the years, including my wonderful Sattva Meditation teachers Cass and Marcus Hamill (“The Sattva Life”)
